Course Description
In exploring creative music technology, you’ll explore Chrome Music Lab, its “hidden” abilities, and how it’s a fantastic precursor to BandLab for Education. In this workshop, you’ll be led through two different projects in BandLab for Education that are applicable to learners in grades 4 through 12 in an approachable and accessible way. Other apps will be explored as well, as ways to help learners be as creative as possible.
Course Objectives
During the workshop, you will:
1. Learn how to use Chrome Music Lab with your music students.
2. Observe ways to upload Midi files from Chrome Music Lab onto BandLab.
3. Discover the different functions and uses of BandLab.
Student Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Create new lessons for your music classroom by using Chrome Music Lab and BandLab.
2. Use BandLab to create a new track by plugging in different instruments.
3. Upload different loops from BandLab by knowing how to search and drag samples into your song.
