Looking for fresh and innovative ideas to integrate into your choral rehearsal to help your students go beyond the music? If so, join Danielle for a workshop on project-based learning in the middle school choral ensemble. We’ll explore how you can utilize these ideas both in-person and virtually.
Course Objectives
During the workshop, you will:
1. Understand the history behind project-based learning and how to apply that knowledge to the current education system.
2. Learn practical ways to bring project-based learning into your choral classroom.
3. Receive tips to help you get started with implementing project-based learning, even if it’s new to you.
Student Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Consider how you can use project-based learning in your choral classroom by thinking about a project you already do with your students.
2. Bring project-based learning into your choral classroom by having students connect what they’re learning about beyond the music aspect.
3. Apply project-based learning into your choral classroom by reframing your mindset and celebrating the small wins.
