Tina Huynh
Tina teaches music education methods courses, graduate education courses, and "Music of the Vietnamese Diaspora" at the University of Puget Sound. She works with undergraduates in the School of Music and with graduates in the School of Education's Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program.
Dr. Huynh is author of The Vietnamese Children’s Songbook (F-Flat Books, 2023), a compilation of nine popular Vietnamese children’s songs and cultural practices. Her film, Songs of Little Saigon (2021) (First Light Productions), about the resilience of eight Vietnamese American refugee musicians throughout Orange County, California, has won 14 awards and recognitions from national and international film festivals. Her latest film, The Resting Place (CRPF, 2022), is about the Vietnamese refugee community in Tacoma, WA and can be screened freely at crpftacoma.org/community
