Project Description
Course Description
Musical creativity comes in many forms. In the orchestra classroom, it generally manifests in the interpretation of composed works- by way of executing, with accuracy, refinement, and discipline, the composer’s prescribed notes, dynamics, tempos, and articulations. This form of musical creativity in the orchestra classroom is certainly warranted, given the traditions of the orchestral medium, but it is also extraordinarily limiting in terms of the multitude of musically creative classroom experiences not being introduces or nurtured. In this workshop, you’ll learn multiple entry points into diversifying and enriching your orchestra curriculum, where musical creativity is the focal point.
