Course Description
Empower your students to journal and reflect regularly in the ensemble setting! In this session, learn how to scaffold goal-setting with students, journaling with prompts, and create moments of reflection for yourself as an ensemble director and for your students. Create ongoing opportunities for students to share their voices with you through writing and discussion!
Course Objectives
– Teachers will learn how to scaffold writing and reflection in the ensemble classroom.
– Teachers will intentionally create schedules to reflect on their own.
– Teachers will journal with written prompts.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will be able to engage students to begin journaling and reflection, create ongoing opportunities for students to share their ideas, be able to discuss your own reflections with your students’ reflections.
